ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
This year, the school theme for National Science Week is Innovation: Powering Future Industries.
What a perfect year to investigate and learn about something that has become so prevalent in technologies, the workplace, and the internet – artificial intelligence (AI). AI sounds like such a daunting concept, but innovative programming is paving the way for future industries. We use AI in most of our daily lives now – in agriculture, the internet, even our homes. Let’s try to understand how AI works, how we currently utilise it, and what it means for the future in this term of Science Squad.

SPACE SQUAD
On Christmas night of 2021, NASA launched the revolutionary James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Built to be 100 times more powerful and technologically advanced, the JWST is the scientific successor to the Hubble Space Telescope. Since its launch, JWST has already allowed experts to make new, mind-blowing observations and discoveries. With JWST, we’re able to look back in time, understand the atmospheres of alien planets, watch the creation and destruction of stars, and so much more! So what does this all mean for us? What will happen to HST?
Let’s investigate the wonders of the universe in this term’s space-tacular Science Squad.
